The Carnegie Museum has de Kooning's final Woman painting... one of the great masterpieces of the 20th century. I see a lot of Diebenkorn in this... though Diebenkorn's reference was landscape, not figure. Though Diebenkorn wasn't as great a painter, he was a lot more consistent. Once he figured out his winning formula, he pretty much stuck with it.
